Schedule of Events
- 5:30 - 6:00 Refreshments: Pizza, Soda, and Cookies.
- 6:00 - 7:00 “Shawna has a Secret”: A simulated, interactive bedroom scene for adults only to explore and search for signs of drug use, which includes a discussion about how to have a conversation with teens, and who to turn to for help. For more information, check out LEAF.
- 6:00 - 7:00 Frank & Non-Judgemental Discussion about Substance Use: This will run concurrently. It is for teens only. It is co-facilitated by Truth Pharm professionals and Students for Sensible Drug Policy president Grant Loew of Binghamton University.
- 7:15 - 7:45 Science Behind Addiction & Narcan Training: How to recognize and respond to an overdose with Narcan. Appropriate for anyone 13+, however, Narcan kits can only be given to those 16 years or older.
- 5:30 - 7:45 Prescription Drug Drop-Off: Broome Country Sheriff’s Department will be collecting unwanted and expired prescription drugs throughout the evening.
- The evening concludes by 8 p.m.
