THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING!

This year's annual substance abuse evening at M-E schools focused on the dangers of mixing alcohol with prescription drugs.

We had several dozen students and families attend.  The evening featured the very powerful "If They Had Known" movie and then a panel discussion of local experts.  It was very well received and led to many insightful questions.

The event was originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 27, but a snowy afternoon postponed the event until the following Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

In 2020 we intend to focus on the dangers of vaping.

Free & Open to the Public
Please join me for If They had Known, a documentary film spoken by teens to teens.  It highlights the dangers of risky party behaviors that are all too common these days.

This 40 minute film was produced by Genny Soper and the Clay Soper Memorial Fund, to tell the story of her son, Clay Soper, who died from an overdose of prescription drugs mixed with alcohol.

The movie will be followed with a talk by "Jesse", a young person in recovery who will tell us about their journey through addiction and recovery.  After that there'll be a Q&A with prevention experts and first responders.
